Operate a 4WD in the field
PMASUP236B Pipeline Specific

In a typical scenario an operations technician patrols areas of pipeline or follows pipelines across a variety of terrains looking for problems, which require maintenance, or reporting. During the course of their work they must check the vehicle for mechanical soundness before leaving base, ensure it is securely and adequately packed, make certain their communications equipment and contact schedule are in order and generally be prepared for long periods off-road.

Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers
Safe towing techniques

This Course is designed to enhance your on road and off road towing skills. There is nothing as frustrating as not being able to reverse park your horse float, trailer, off road camper or caravan. However this is, at worst, embarrassing. What is more serious is an inability to read the terrain or prepare your vehicle for the change in surface or approaching corner.

Coordinate Advanced Recovery
Advanced Recovery

This Course gives you the mechanical, mathematical and practical experience to calculate and recover a 4WD vehicle correctly and safely using a wide range of recovery equipment available on today’s market.

Carry out vehicle inspection
Basic Mechanics

This course will give you an understanding of the mechanical principles employed in modern vehicles and allow you to practice basic servicing techniques so you are better equipped to maintain your vehicle in sound condition, find faults easily and effect emergency repairs.
