Kev Williams, Director  Kev has 24 years experience within the Australian Army. He spent a considerable time as an instructor, both within Australia and Overseas. This has given him both formal qualifications and a broad range of practical experience in developing and implementing training and assessment systems. Kev was awarded an Australian Army Training Centre Commendation, for his contribution to the successful development and implementation of various training. Kev also spent a considerable amount of time as a driver and therefore has excellent skills in being able to navigate, drive and maintain a range of vehicles, in various terrains, particularly in the off road environment and has moved these skills over to creating a successful 4wd tour and implementing 4wd driver training courses. His formal qualifications include: Diploma of Training and Assessment Systems Certificate in Advanced Driving Advance Diploma of Resource Management Associate Diploma in Human Physical Resource Management Certificate IV in Front Line Management Kev also enjoys all forms of sports and is particularly passionate about Rugby Union, in which he has been accredited, level 2 for coaching. About Australian 4wd Driver Training & 4wd TourIn 1990 Duncans Driver Training began operations as a 4WD Driver Training Consultants. The name was changed to Australian 4WD Driver Training & Tours (Australian 4WD) in 2006. Our endeavours to meet the needs of the fast growing 4WD Industry coupled with our refinement of our Training Procedures, encouraged us to register our own teaching modules.Duncans Off Road Driver Training proudly wrote and registered Queensland's first State Government registered and Nationally Accredited Course in 4WD Off Road Defensive Driving and Australia's only Hummer Specific 4WD Training Course. In 2005 the structure under which Registered Training Organisations such as Australian 4WD were recognised was altered to reflect increased emphasis on the quality of training and the credibility of assessment across the national training system. Australian 4WD Driver Training is now recognised under this new structure, known as the Australian Quality Framework (and monitored by the Training & Employment Recognition Council, Queensland) and are listed as a currently Registered Training Organisation on the National Training Information Service web site at www.ntis.gov.au Australian 4WD Nationally Accredited Training Programs provide a common sense approach to off road driving enabling the 4WD operator the opportunity to build confidence in his/her own ability and that of their vehicle with emphasis on accident prevention and driver responsibility. Australian 4WD Trainers are required to have completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or higher qualification) to ensure that they have a high level of competence in the subject matter together with the skills required to provide a quality training environment. Australian 4WD continues to refine its operations to meet the needs of a fast growing 4WD industry, the Company now having etched well earned recognition as one of the leaders in 4WD consultancy, driver training and tour operations. |
