Kimberley Safari

The Kimberley region of Western Australia is one of the world's last great wilderness areas. It has one of the fastest population growth rates in Australia, yet has fewer people per square kilometre than almost any other place on earth.  Situated in the far north west of WA, the Kimberley is an ancient landform of rugged ranges with deep, spectacular gorges and pristine sandy beaches that fringe the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Mighty river systems produce thundering waterfalls during the wet season and pockets of lush rainforest can be found throughout the region.

"The Kimberley is a vast and pristine area and to explore it is an adventure you will never forget, and cherish forever" – Kimberley Tourism Association. This is one of Australia's most remote 4WD destinations and also one of the most beautiful. Join us on this memorable trek exploring outback Queensland, Central Australia and part of the Gulf via the Plenty Highway, Tanami Desert and The Savannah Way - taking us to The Wild Kimberley, in north western Australia and Gulf of Carpentaria, in Northern Australia.

This Tour ventures across our vast continent visiting regions isolated by distance travelling over rich alluvial plains and sandstone ranges, through spectacular gorges and surreal landscapes – we will visit the home of the ‘Camp Oven’; a superbly preserved mining ghost town; see a meteorite site and the second largest crater of its kind in the world; explore the world’s richest gemstone areas; see a sub-vertical quartz vein believed to be the largest single fault of its type. We visit pristine white sandy beaches, some of the most stunning in the world – why not join us!

This Tour will take you through the ‘Centre of Australia’ as you trek North West, discovering the towns of Halls Creek, the oasis of the Kimberley region and situated on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert and the famous Bungle Bungle Range with it’s amazing ‘bee-hive’ shaped sandstone domes marked with bands of black lichen. We travel onto Fitzroy Crossing, and Geikie Gorge to the north east; Broome and the Dampier Peninsula; Cape Leveque and the Buccaneer Archipelago; onto the Gibb River Road and Tunnel Creek and the Napier Range; Windjana, Adcock, Bell Creek and Manning Gorges, Mitchell Falls and the Mitchell Plateau; Kalumburu, El Questro, Kununurra, Lake Argyle and Wyndham – experience the uniqueness and hospitality of these areas with us - all integral parts to the Kimberley landscape and never to be forgotten.

During our stay in the Kimberley we invite you to take the opportunity to enhance your visit - take a helicopter flight over the Mitchell Plateau and Falls, fly out over the Buccaneer Archipelago to see the horizontal waterfall and Cape Leveque. Maybe take a river cruise over Lake Argyle or a flight over the Lake and the infamous Bungle Bungles. Or just go fishing, crabbing or both!

Our homeward journey compliments our time spent in the Kimberley Region and provides us with an excellent opportunity to see some of the wonderful landscapes of the Gulf Country, along the Savannah Way.

"Discover with us the cultural diversity of the Kimberley Region and enjoy the opportunity of traveling through the gulf Country on our return journey.  Two tours in one “an adventure of a lifetime"
