Description: This course is designed for those who are interested in looking after their 4WD, AWD and 2WD vehicle but have no prior knowledge of basic mechanics. If you ever wanted to know how to service your own vehicle or be able to make emergency repairs in remote situations, then this course is for you. No special equipment is needed to enrol in this course. However, if your vehicle is due for a service then you may wish to carry out that service on the day under supervision. Bring oil, filters and your tools, if you have a set, or you are able to use our equipment! You will however have to dispose of your own waste oil. What can I learn? Major 4WD, AWD and 2WD Components (their layout, identification and purpose); What happens on the day? Times: 8.00am to 2.00pm approx Approximately two hours of theory in the morning - the rest of the day is practical “hands on”. Do I need any special equipment? If your vehicle is due for a service then you may wish to carry out that service on the day. Bring oil, filters and your tools (if you have a set) or you are able to use our equipment.
