Difficult to improve upon excellent format

It was a good experience and helped my confidence with driving, braking and learning how to get out of bad Situation.

Good experience, built confidence in driving a 4WD in terrain, but also outlined possible accidents and risk.

The course was very good and Kev was able to adapt for the not so skilled to the fully skilled of the group.

My contact with Australian 4WDriver Training & Tours began as the Training Co-ordinator Telstra. Since that time "approved vendor" status has been awarded and we have scheduled 24 courses, the first beginning next week. If it seems an inordinate amount of time to achieve this its because of unavoidable delays on our part. Discussions in the early days were largely about Course Content, Health, Safety and Environmental issues, and other vendor/contract issues. The vendor/contract issues were dealt with swiftly and efficiently, a credit to Australian 4WDriver Training's preparedness for the task.

We are especially keen to have a very high standard of Health & Safety for our staff when attending non classroom based courses. Also Environment impact is high on the agenda due to our wish to preserve the Environment and our ongoing accreditation to ISO14001. As is the Quality outcome of all our activities and with accreditation to ISO9001.

Both Jan and Kev through, phone calls, emails and face to face meetings have satisfied all our requirements to be our partner in training our staff. They have earned this by

• Answering all of our concerns, and keeping us up to date with latest information.
• Supplying additional information, when requested, for us to make valued decisions,
• Exceeding our expectations with regard to feedback. Example follows.

E.G.. Australian 4WDriver Training routinely provides a report on each training course conducted. Kev supplied copies of reports from courses run for other Telstra business units when some HSE issues were highlighted. I took this up with our 'fleet' representatives to ensure anomalies and misinformation was/had been corrected. I am aware that discussions between Kev and 'Fleet' took place to assist with the understanding of these concerns. As a result Telstra's 'Vehicle Check Lists' have been amended to include specific winch safety checks, Manufacturer Specs' have been clarified and a revised recovery kit' contents list has been distributed company wide. These few safety issues had a potential impact on many of our staff, for which we are most appreciative of Kev for his assistance in improving.

During the recent scheduling phase for 24 courses across 3 venues, logistics has been the biggest concern. Both Jan and Kev have been flexible, cooperative and have offered valued informed alternatives that have assisted with this first batch of 4wd training. It is a great reassurance that they have their own venues of which the impact of variable weather conditions are well known to them. I am confident in using their recommendation for timing of these courses to have the least impact due to North Queenslands tropical weather. Australian 4WDriver Training are flexible and dynamic in being able to deliver more than one type course at the same venue at the same time. This has been a bonus for us in that we can achieve course delivery times that suit our business.

Now we are at the point of delivering training; I have the up most confidence that our staff will receive the best and safest training we can possibly procure. I am confident that we will receive timely feedback on those courses. I was pleased to hear about their progression interstate as we have groups of staff in other regions.

As Training and Development Officer with TSC for a period of three years, I have had difficulty accessing quality 4WD Training for staff in our organisation. During a very busy period, I passed this responsibility to CS – Admin. Assistant – Training & Development. CS located “Australian 4WD Driver training and Tours.

Staff requiring this training were from a variety of divisions across the organisation and had a variety of knowledge and experience in this area. Some had been trained in the past and others were new to both these skills and the organisation. In total, 35 staff underwent training.

The service level provided by “Australian 4WD Driver Training and Tours” staff both in the office and onsite was exemplary. The consultation process prior to training was extensive as our needs were not easy to accommodate. Competency levels of all staff were established and the information provided to the trainer, who was able to tailor a program for our staff that met our needs and also met the requirements of the AQTF with regards to nationally accredited training.

Discussions were held daily with regards to any issues that arose and variations were made to accommodate ‘shuffling’ of staff between courses due to our own operational requirements. Further consultation was undertaken following the completion of all courses. TSC staff participants were particularly impressed with the training, both its rigour and its value to their daily work. CS and myself were also very pleased with the level of support that we received from the organisation which helped make the process efficient, smooth running, achieved our goals and met the outcomes required by the individual participants

As part of the training experience the Academy utilised the services of Kevin Williams from Australian 4WD Driver Training and Tours. Kevin provided a detailed overview for dealer staff on general practices and safety when driving off-road as well as a thorough understanding and demonstration of the ability off-road of the new Q7. In particular Kevin’s ability to comprehensively and practically illustrate the complex technical features of the vehicle impressed. Firstly, thank you very much for a very enjoyable, informative and confidence boosting day yesterday. It was worth every cent and we will certainly be recommending the course to everyone we know who has a 4WD.

We are now interested in some of your 4WD drive tours as they cover areas we would like to travel in however, our camping gear is in the form of a camper trailer and our plan would be to continue on our safari after the tour without returning to Brisbane. Is it possible to do your tours with a camper trailer? ~ BR

I have been dealing with Kev on a regular basis for sometime. The Resort has retained Kev to assist us with the design and implementation of a 4WD Driver Training Facility at the Resort – which is essentially now complete.
In our dealings with Kev and his staff – we have been very impressed with the professional attitude of the Australian 4WD Organisation and we have recently entered into a joint arrangement for the up keeping and management of the facility, which is gaining considerable attention from the Motoring Community.
